Having the ability to see the opponent’s darts live on the cameras to avoid cheating. (Without having to buy the Virt)
Something similar to the ‘Live board view’ one of the competitors is using.
You don’t need a Virt Cam to play online with a cam. Your phone cam or webcam of your pc/laptop will do. Tap the camera icon in the online lobby and follow the steps.
I know. But I mean using the actual Omni camera’s to get a live view of the board.
Scolia implemented this feature for tournaments.
Hi Jordy, this in on our long-term schedule to see what the possibilities are.
Great, thanks for the feedback.
Hopefully this comes through, as Jordy mentioned scolia managed to implement this, so fingers crossed omni can too.
It would be possible to use the omni cameras to do this, but it would not benefit their market for the virt, that’s likely why they haven’t implemented it.
Yes true, but competing brands do manage to implement this without the need of adding an extra camera.
Virt won’t be happy though
Indeed Omni have 4 cams but not showing real board. Shame on you.
Some of us want the best system rather than the cheapest. Your own cam or Virt are the options, it’s not the system for trying to save money for a poorer product. If saving money is your main aim, sell your Omni and get autodarts.
Thats what people are starting to do, some people dont have a spare phone or feel like they need to be spending more money for a camera view. The option is there in the Omni already you can see your board through the camera when Calobrating so why cant that option be used as a board view option? £500 is alot of money for some people and i could understand if the cam view was not there at all but it literally is so why not use it? We are being asked to either have another phone, buy another camera or fork out another couple £100 for the virt and its one dimentional view. Scolia costs more but atm its justified coz it offers more.
Theres been nothing but bugs with the Omni and thats gotten worse the more people have bought one, its just not a good look.
I fully agree with the above, we’ve paid over the odds, it’s full of bugs and seems to crash at every update, any comment you leave regarding issues with us crashing are deleted because they know it wasn’t ready. I regret not buying scolds badly, the omni could easily show the board but they expect us to pay nearly £300 for the virt which is essentially a webcam and has an awful angle on the board. Target and DartCounter are sadly becoming the EA of darts.
